Planning permission is normally required for our small wind turbines and is usually straightforward, taking between two to three months.
Contact your local planning office with your initial enquiries and request for an application form.
We would suggest that you apply for planning at the same time you apply for your grant. This will help to avoid a lengthy wait.
Prior to this, you should consider investigating whether you are eligible for other grants. In the case of community projects, National Lottery Community Sustainable Energy Grants may be available.
